Ashwin Patel
I am the son of a shop keeper and grown up around retail all my life. My mother’s first job was in a pharmacy and I carried on the tradition by becoming the Saturday boy in my local Asda. Time has moved on since then and I’ve been through hospital, independent, distance selling and corporate multiple pharmacies through various roles as a manager, director and superintendent. I am currently a Regional Pharmacy Manager for Tesco and lead a team of 300 colleagues and turnover £35 Million through my pharmacy teams across Central, Northern England and North Wales.
I am a keen survival and outdoor enthusiast. If I have to be indoors, you’ll usually find me tinkering with electronics or doing DIY. Love to play golf whenever I can (I won’t tell you my handicap) and a qualified scuba diver. I’ve been lucky enough to have travelled along the great barrier reef and experienced the greatest majesty of earth underwater. I’d one day like to retire some place warm, work on my handicap and guide tourists around some of the world’s greatest dive sites.
