Covid-19 Vaccinations
Following guidance from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), the COVID-19 autumn/winter booster programme commenced on 11th September 2023. Wherever possible, patients should be offered flu and COVID-19 vaccination at the same time.
Eligible people are being invited to get their spring 2026 COVID‑19 vaccination as the NHS launches the next phase of its seasonal protection programme.Information about local walk in clinics can be found at NHS urges eligible people to come forward for their spring COVID-19 vaccination – Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, ICS as well as book appointments on Book, change, or cancel a COVID-19 vaccination appointment online – NHS
A joint media release marked the start of the programme, and the ICS continue to seek further media and case study opportunities. Alongside this, they are cascading the national toolkit, which includes key messages, FAQs, translated posters, and social media assets, through partners. They are also maintaining promotion of key messages and walk-in clinics on social media and websites.
The toolkit along with additional social media graphics aimed at people with weakened immune systems, using imagery that reflects communities with lower vaccine uptake can be downloaded here: Spring COVID-19 vaccination communication materials for the full range of campaign materials including translated materials, visit the National Campaign Resource Centre.
