Community Pharmacy Services Coach – Lindsey Edwards

My Name is Lindsey I have worked in the NHS for over 20 Years. I stared working for an independent pharmacy helping with a quit smoking program in the community, I then moved to primary care when I was a senior receptionist that manged the day to day running of patient appointment and care navigation. I looked after all staff training and holidays and I also joined to work for the LPC where I went into surgeries to train them on how to use Pharmacy First and refer patient to a pharmacy for minor ailments. I then decided to go to university and do a 2-year diploma on long term health conditions where I gained a a-level and a diploma. I am now a senior health care in primary care looking after patients with long term health conditions such as Diabetes, Lifestyle issues, Diet advice. I also do a variety of vaccines, wound care and minor ops etc. I have continued to work for the LPC throughout working in Primary Care and now I am aiming to support the community to educate and advise both patients and pharmacy staff the uses and benefits of Pharmacy First.
